This page gives a brief description of who we are and where we are coming from.

Patricia Spence - ITEC, MCSS, BHMA Reg

I am an holistic practitioner treating the whole person. I believe it necessary to maintain a balance between the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual dimensions of our lives. My ethos is information, inspiration and self-empowerment. One way I do this is by producing a free quarterly newsletter (click on newsletters above).

"Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."       -- World Health Organisation 1947.

I am a qualified ITEC and On-Site Massage Therapist specialising in CranioSacral Therapy. I am a founding member of the Cranio Sacral Society. I attend training courses and seminars on a continuing basis and keep up with new developments and techniques in CranioSacral Therapy.

I tend to use a combination of CST, visceral manipulation and flower essences (if the client is open to using them).  Combination treatments are also available:
massage and CST
massage and somatoemotional dialogue

Massage treatments are geared to the client and their immediate needs. A treatment is completed with some cranial work on the head and neck.

I am a member of the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation. The goal of the Foundation is to advance and promote the principles of Dr. Price, Dr. Pottenger and like-minded researchers to uplift the human race to a higher physical, mental and spiritual consciousness. Among these principles is the conviction that the quality of the soil and the plant and animal kingdoms determine the physical foundation of mankind which in turn promotes and balances mental and spiritual growth.  Dale Spence - BSc, ND, DO, BWY Dip

I achieved a degree in Computer Science and Economics at the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa in 1984. After a number of years working in computers, primarily in software development, I decided to pursue a long standing interest in healing.  I achieved a diploma in both naturopathy and osteopathy in 1996 - from the College of Osteopaths in London after seven years of part time study. The problems that I saw as an osteopath, and the factors underlying those problems, reinforced for me the value of the principles of yoga. I have been involved with yoga for about 30 years, influenced by many approaches including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Surat Shabd Yoga, and the Bihar school in India. I started my journey of teaching yoga in the 1980s and achieved a Yoga Teacher Training diploma through the British Wheel of Yoga in 2001. I have taught various yoga classes over the years and am currently teaching a small class from home. In 2000 I made the decision to stop practicing as an osteopath and have not maintained my professional memberships. I am currently making a living from IT as a database, systems & security administrator and management. I am pursuing my interest in healing through research and writing.
